Last year 41 people got creative in our Wellbeing Centre.
‘I would never have tried something like this on my own and I can’t believe I’ve made such a beautiful book.’
What’s On Offer
When people are socially isolated, it can impact negatively on their mental health. So, we provide a friendly space for people to meet and talk with others who have similar life experiences. Our range of activities are selected by participants and based on the principles of the 5 Ways of Wellbeing: connect, be active, learn, take notice and give.
Our programme varies depending on the interests of the group. We enjoy healthy meals cooked using the vegetables grown on our allotments and discussions about the movies we have watched. We invite volunteers and guest tutors into our creative arts sessions to share their ideas and learn new skills, like book folding and writing poetry.
All volunteers are welcome. Activities are held on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays during school hours. It is an opportunity to support people and share ideas and encourage the development of new skills making a valuable contribution to the charity and local community. Volunteer Application Form
